South Bintan Cultural Tour

One of the main attractions you must visit in Bintan are the temples. Known as the ‘thousand face’ temple, Vihara Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is a peculiar, picture-perfect and culturally rich attraction.

The 500 Lohan Temple is an imposing temple set on a hill with impressive Chinese architecture and high walls. Stepping into the temple grounds, you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported to China.

There are also pavilions for quiet prayer and meditation and a statue of the Guanyin Bodhisattva in the middle of the courtyard where the 500 arhats are located.

Also drop by the Tanjungpinang Local market where you can find a lot of local delicacies specialty such as dried fish and snacks, otak-otak and many more. Remember to bargain with the locals to get the best price!
